Wise Platform Teams Up with Lunar for Enhanced International Payments

Lunar, a digital bank operating in the Nordics, has entered into a partnership with Wise Platform. This collaboration will enable Lunar users to make optimal international payments directly through its app.

In terms of capabilities, Lunar now allows transfers to over 160 countries using 40 different currencies. The integration is built on the existing use of Moonrise by Wise, which powers local clearing and payments in Scandinavia.

The partnership extends to offering Wise’s white-label solution to both private and business users within Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. This feature will allow users to send money internationally quickly, securely, and at low costs through the app. The service leverages Wise’s global network that connects directly with six payment systems and over 70 licenses worldwide, ensuring a majority of transfers can arrive in less than 20 seconds.

This collaboration represents Lunar’s first partnership as a key player within the region’s digital banking sector. It also highlights the increasing demand for faster, more transparent cross-border payment solutions compared to traditional correspondent banking methods.

Recent Developments at Lunar

In February 2025, Lunar expanded its partnership with Froda into Sweden. Through this collaboration, Lunar’s Swedish users can access quick and flexible business loans directly through the Lunar app using Froda’s embedded lending platform and Visa’s global card infrastructure.

The entire process was entirely digital, eliminating long wait times and complex application requirements. Funds were disbursed in seconds, with repayments processed automatically via card transactions.

This innovative solution aimed to optimize business financing in Sweden more efficiently and transparently for Lunar’s customers.
