The partnership between Verifone and Deluxe has been bolstered to facilitate a broader integration of Verifone’s Victa devices into the Deluxe Payments Platform.

This collaboration is intended to simplify payment processes for software providers and large merchants who rely on Deluxe’s solutions.

According to the terms of the new agreement, both Deluxe and its independent software vendors (ISVs) will now have the ability to include Verifone’s latest hardware in their portfolios. This integration aims to accelerate market entry and facilitate easier device installation.

Focused on Security and Scalability

The Victa line of devices is engineered to function across various in-store payment settings, such as mobile, countertop, and biometric checkout systems. They are designed to be compatible with existing point-of-sale systems and come equipped with features like palm and facial recognition, as well as options for SoftPOS and peripheral expansion, including payment pucks.

Verifone asserts that its Victa products meet the current PCI PTS 6.x security standards and are being developed to align with future PCI 7.x requirements. The devices also incorporate remote anti-skimming measures to mitigate fraud risks. Additionally, Verifone is committed to sustainability, aiming for 60% of the plastics used in Victa devices to be recycled by 2026, and has already eliminated single-use plastic packaging.

Verifone officials believe that this ongoing collaboration with Deluxe offers a streamlined route for software developers to introduce secure and scalable payment solutions. They claim that the partnership allows providers to bring products to market without substantial alterations to existing infrastructure.

Deluxe highlights that integrating the Victa device family enhances onboarding speed and activates devices more efficiently, aiming to enhance in-store payment experiences across its merchant network. The improved collaboration is expected to benefit software developers by increasing access to certified hardware and optimizing processes within the broader in-store payments ecosystem.
