Selfbook Chooses PayPal for Enhanced Hotel Payment Solutions

Travelers can now benefit from a seamless payment experience through Selfbook’s partnership with PayPal. This integration aims to streamline the booking process by offering personalized rates and enhanced savings opportunities.

PayPal’s presence on the Offers tab of the Selfbook app enables hotel customers to easily find and book deals. Additionally, Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) options from PayPal are available for many hotel brands through this partnership.

This collaboration also supports Perplexity integration, allowing customers to search, book, and pay directly within chat platforms. This aligns with the growing reliance on AI agents in travel planning and booking, where optimizing checkout experiences through agent chat is crucial. Studies have shown that providing multiple payment methods at checkout can significantly boost conversion rates; PayPal’s presence has reportedly increased online travel purchases by an average of 84%.

Given the significant growth projected for the Travel & Tourism sector, particularly within the Hotels market, the importance of diverse and efficient payment options cannot be overstated. By 2025, global revenue in this space is expected to surpass US $955 billion annually.

Enhancements from PayPal

In June 2025, PayPal launched a physical card for its users, broadening shopping options. This new credit card, issued by Synchrony and branded with Mastercard, allows for transactions not just online but also in-store locations that accept Mastercard.
