The collaboration seeks to provide safe, enhanced, and adaptable payment options at InstaVolt’s charging stations throughout Europe.
InstaVolt has extended its operations into Ireland, Spain, Portugal, and Iceland. By adopting Planet’s payment technology, InstaVolt offers dependable and scalable payment solutions for its customers.
InstaVolt chose Planet because of its ability to enable seamless payments and support multilingual transactions while integrating with radio frequency identification (RFID) and card payment systems. Planet’s technology supports both in-person and in-app transactions, ensuring an intuitive experience for drivers.
With Planet’s in-person payment solution, EV drivers can simply tap their cards to connect to vehicles, starting the charging process without any payment hassle. The terminal technology used by Planet supports both RFID roaming cards and traditional card payments on a single device. Advanced features such as incremental pre-authorisation also add flexibility for customers while mitigating risk for InstaVolt.
By integrating Planet’s online payment gateway, InstaVolt can now process in-app transactions made through either in-person or online card payments. This partnership ensures that the payment process matches customer expectations and supports InstaVolt’s ongoing expansion into EU markets.
The two companies are dedicated to optimising EV charging payments. They plan to deliver customer-centric solutions, enhancing the availability of EV charging across multiple markets.
