Jupiter has recently entered into a strategic partnership with CSB Bank to launch a new credit card, signaling its continued expansion in the digital payments sector.

The Edge+ CSB Bank RuPay Credit Card

This innovative card integrates standard credit card features with UPI transaction capabilities through the RuPay network. Available exclusively via Jupiter’s mobile app, it enables users to conduct UPI-based payments using their credit line.

The product also includes advanced expense tracking tools and offers flexible reward redemption options such as statement credits, bill payments, cash, or Digital Gold.

Company officials mentioned that this launch is part of Jupiter’s broader strategy to diversify its offerings within the personal finance sector. Current services include debit cards, mutual funds, systematic investment plans (SIPs), and related financial tools.

Scapia Launches Dual-Network Travel Credit Card

Concurrently, Scapia has introduced a dual-network travel credit card in collaboration with Federal Bank. The Scapia Federal RuPay Credit Card supports transactions through both the RuPay and Visa networks, catering to users who require international payment capabilities along with UPI functionality.

This is one of the first credit cards in India that allows native UPI transactions via the RuPay network while maintaining global acceptance through Visa.

Both card launches reflect a broader trend among issuers to incorporate UPI support. The RuPay network, developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), has witnessed growing adoption as regulators and fintech companies seek enhanced digital inclusion and transaction flexibility.
