EzyRemit, a digital money transfer service based in Australia, has recently expanded its international payment capabilities by partnering with Thunes.

This strategic alliance is designed to enhance EzyRemit’s capacity to facilitate outbound remittances from major markets like Australia, especially to countries such as the Philippines where overseas remittances play a crucial role in household income.

Enhanced Global Reach and Real-Time Transfers

Through this partnership, EzyRemit now provides direct access to Thunes’ extensive payment network. Users can enjoy real-time transfers via bank accounts, mobile wallets, or cash pickup options in over 45 countries.

Currently supporting operations in more than 150 countries and strengthening its presence in Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Canada, the United States, and Vietnam, this collaboration broadens EzyRemit’s global footprint significantly.

Focus on High-Demand Corridors

A particular focus of their partnership is on high-traffic corridors such as the Australia-Philippines link. Market forecasts suggest that digital remittances between these two nations could exceed USD 183 million by 2025, growing at an annual rate of over 8% until 2029.

Thunes’ infrastructure includes its SmartX Treasury System for currency management and Fortress Compliance Platform. These tools enable EzyRemit to process payments in real-time with enhanced transparency and compliance oversight.

Officials from EzyRemit have stated that these capabilities will support the company’s ongoing global expansion, while ensuring it meets the demands of diaspora communities for faster, more reliable money transfer services.
