The CyberSecurity Association of China, comprising academic institutions, individual experts, and tech giants such as Tencent and Qihu 360, aims to promote self-regulation within the industry. The organization also focuses on accelerating the creation of cybersecurity standards, advancing research in this field, and enhancing international cooperation.
Wang Xiujun, deputy director of the China Administration of Cyberspace, expressed that the association is expected to attract additional cybersecurity companies, contributing to China’s rise as a global internet powerhouse.
In February, China launched its inaugural special fund for cybersecurity with an initial investment of USD 46 million.
