Fashion retailer Bonprix, part of the Otto Group, has introduced a new payment solution for its operations in the Nordic countries by partnering with Trustly, a payments platform. This partnership aims to enhance digital transactions and streamline the checkout process across Sweden, Norway, and Finland.

The integration leverages Trustly’s account-to-account (A2A) technology, which is supported through open banking infrastructure and available in over 30 countries. By allowing customers to pay directly from their bank accounts during the checkout process, Bonprix aims to reduce transaction friction and increase payment security. This approach also seeks to decrease the rate of abandoned shopping carts on its online platforms.

In collaboration with Computop, a provider of global payment solutions, Bonprix is implementing this solution as part of its broader digital commerce strategy in Northern Europe. According to Bonprix representatives, simplifying the customer payment experience and enhancing overall digital service delivery are key focuses. The integration with Trustly’s platform, which includes security features such as biometric-based face authentication, supports these objectives.

Founded in 1986, Bonprix operates online stores in 16 European countries and has a B2B presence in several additional markets. Its headquarters is located in Hamburg, with significant operations also in France, Italy, and Poland.
