Bitget Wallet Expands National QR Payment Support in Vietnam

In a move that strengthens its global PayFi initiative, Bitget Wallet has introduced national QR payment capabilities for users within Vietnam. Initially piloted in this Southeast Asian nation, the new feature allows individuals to pay with crypto by scanning VietQR – the country’s standardized QR code system widely adopted among local businesses.

This advancement aligns with Bitget Wallet’s broader strategy to integrate crypto payments into national payment infrastructures across various global markets. It aims to facilitate direct cryptocurrency transactions, reducing fees and eliminating the need for fiat currency conversions. By enabling seamless crypto payments through a single scan, users can easily complete everyday transactions such as dining out or grocery shopping.

Partnership with AEON

Bitget Wallet has partnered with AEON, its licensed provider, to support the VietQR standard across all 55 banks and payment institutions. This collaboration ensures that over two million merchants nationwide can accept stablecoins like USDT and USDC via Ethereum, Tron, Solana, Base, TON, and BNB Chain networks. With this partnership, both large retailers and small businesses benefit from the ease of accepting crypto payments.

The plan is to extend these integrations beyond Vietnam into Southeast Asia, Latin America, and other regions as part of a strategic expansion aimed at enhancing global adoption of cryptocurrency payments.

Cashback Promotion

To promote wider acceptance and usage of national QR payments in Vietnam, Bitget Wallet offers 50% cashback on the first transaction made through this method. This promotion is limited to the first 50,000 new users during the period from June 16, 2025, to July 30, 2025.

Additionally, Bitget Wallet supports crypto card payments for online and in-store purchases, facilitating transactions with over 300 brands through its integrated marketplace. The company aims to give users control over their transactions, whether they scan, tap, or shop directly from within the app, ensuring a secure experience.
