Details of eftpos Click to Pay

In eftpos Click to Pay transactions, tokenization is used to replace card details with a digital token. This approach ensures that transaction security is maintained while making the payment process seamless for consumers. Payments processed over the eftpos network benefit from AP+’s domestic infrastructure, ensuring compliance with Australian privacy and security standards.

According to the collaboration between AP+ and G+D, the following features are included:

  • Integrated LCR to reduce the cost of accepting payments
  • A one-click checkout experience without entering card details manually
  • Tokenized payments for enhanced credential security
  • Trusted local infrastructure supporting resilience and data sovereignty

Commenting on this development, a G+D representative stated that their partnership with AP+ aims to facilitate the delivery of Click to Pay solutions, enhancing eftpos in digital payment flows. The solution was piloted and is scheduled for launch early in 2026.

This initiative aligns with the Reserve Bank of Australia’s policy direction to promote LCR usage for cost savings and supporting competition among merchants. Both companies are committed to reducing payment costs and offering more options for businesses.
