In addition to enhancing customer experiences, both companies plan to focus on meeting the evolving needs, preferences, and demands of clients and users while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and laws.
More Information about the Partnership
According to the official announcement, Optty, which provides access to over 145 payment partners across 140 countries in 120 currencies, aims to collaborate with US-based Affirm to optimize financial landscapes for customers. This partnership builds on Affirm’s recent strategies, such as its expansion into the Canadian market with Williams-Sonoma, allowing Canadian shoppers to use Affirm’s pay-over-time solutions when purchasing from Williams-Sonoma’s suite of brands.
Earlier this year in May 2025, Costco, a US retailer, announced it would offer a buy now, pay later (BNPL) option for its customers through the Affirm payment network. This new initiative allows customers to add purchases starting at USD 500 up to USD 17,500 and choose from repayment options typically offered in 6, 12, or 18-month intervals. Once approved, customers can repay Affirm with interest over time without late or hidden fees.
