Navan, a business travel and expense management platform, has partnered with American Express to enhance its services.
This partnership allows members of the US Business and Corporate Card program from American Express to generate virtual cards for travel arrangements made through Navan’s Travel platform. Navan is also part of the American Express Sync Commercial Partner Programme to support this integration.

The collaboration brings several benefits, including streamlined reconciliation that speeds up month-end closures and ensures automated record-keeping for users who earn rewards from their American Express Cards. Cardholders can benefit from these rewards when making travel payments with on-demand virtual cards.
Moreover, the integration supports proactive spending controls, enabling finance teams to establish virtual cards with predefined spending rules that simplify management of travel expenses.
In addition, businesses can monitor and manage their expenses in real time through Navan’s Expense dashboard. This feature shows all transactions, both pending and cleared, providing full visibility into card activity. This transparency helps in identifying cost-saving opportunities while keeping budgets and forecasts current.
Navan Connect’s “Bring Your Own Card” capability allows organizations to leverage travel and expense management solutions while retaining the benefits of their existing corporate cards from other financial partners. The technology has facilitated over USD 1 billion in transactions since its inception in 2024.
