Affirm has partnered with Optty to enhance merchant offerings worldwide. This collaboration is anticipated to allow businesses across the globe to integrate Affirm’s flexible, transparent, and secure pay-over-time options via a unified API.

In addition to this partnership, both companies will continue focusing on meeting customer needs while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements in the dynamic market environment.

Details of the Partnership

Optty is a global payments platform that connects over 145 payment partners across 140 countries and 120 currencies. By teaming up with US-based Affirm, they aim to streamline customer experiences within the financial sector while providing businesses with tools to improve their solutions and accelerate growth in the industry.

This collaboration comes after Affirm’s previous efforts, such as expanding its relationship with Williams-Sonoma into the Canadian market. This partnership extended an existing US-based agreement, enabling Canadian consumers to utilize Affirm’s pay-over-time options when shopping through Williams-Sonoma’s brands.

Earlier in May 2025, Costco, another major retailer, began offering a buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) solution for its customers via the Affirm network. Customers could choose to split purchases starting from USD 500 up to USD 17,500 into flexible repayment periods of 6, 12, or 18 months interest-free, with no late fees.
