Robinhood Europe has recently been granted a license by the Bank of Lithuania to offer crypto asset services in Lithuania. This marks an important step for the country as it aims to align its regulations with those of the European Union.

The authorization allows Robinhood Europe to provide custody, administration, and transaction execution services involving crypto assets both within Lithuania and throughout the EU.

Interest in crypto asset service provision is on the rise in Lithuania. To date, 29 firms have applied for similar licenses, with 10 currently being reviewed by the central bank.

The regulatory landscape continues to evolve as deadlines approach.

In light of upcoming EU regulatory standards, Lithuanian authorities are working to ensure that crypto firms comply. An extension was approved for the licensing period, allowing companies until the end of 2025 to obtain official approval; those without a license afterward will not be able to operate.

Robinhood Europe received an A-category brokerage license from the Bank of Lithuania earlier this year, enabling it to operate as an investment firm within the bloc. The new crypto asset license is expected to support the company’s expansion efforts in European markets and increase its presence across various regions.

Rewriting the narrative with updates on Robinhood’s activities:

In May, Robinhood announced the launch of Robinhood Legend, a browser-based desktop trading platform for the UK market. This solution is designed to cater specifically to active traders and will be available at no additional cost to every user with a Robinhood account in the UK.

The platform aims to provide efficiency, precision, and customization, offering an intuitive and user-friendly experience for UK investors.
